Services:
In Home Consultation - $125*
A
consultation in your home usually lasts 1.5-2 hours and
includes a complete history, assessment of latch and
breast health as needed, hands on assistance to achieve a more
comfortable latch, weight check with digital baby scale,
a personalized care plan for addressing any issues,
report to both mom and baby’s health care providers if
desired and plenty of time for questions.
Follow-up assistance by phone, text, or email is included until
the initial issues are resolved. We strive to provide caring
and compassionate support as we help you meet your breastfeeding
goals.
Follow-Up
Consultation - $85*
Many
breastfeeding issues can be resolved with just one
visit. However, if your baby is premature, the
issues are complex or if you just prefer more hands-on
follow-up care, an additional consultation can be
scheduled. Follow-up consultations generally last
45 minutes - 1 hour and include re-assessing the
situation, weight check, adjusting the care plan as needed and
answering additional questions.
Private Prenatal
Breastfeeding Class - $150*
If
you prefer a personalized and in-depth breastfeeding
class in the comfort of your own home, then you will
love our prenatal breastfeeding classes.
Breastfeeding classes generally last 3 hours and include
information on why breastfeeding is important for both
mother and baby, including nutritional, immunological
and psychological reasons. You will learn
how milk supply is established so that you can be
prepared to maximize your milk supply from the
beginning. Learn the basics of positioning and
latching a newborn baby, how to recognize and address
problems that may arise, how to select and fit a good
nursing bra, comparison of breastpumps and how to decide
whether or not you even need a pump, how to prepare for
returning to work, when and how to introduce a bottle if
desired and most importantly, how to nurture and not
just feed your baby through breastfeeding. We
highly encourage moms to invite any family members who
will be providing support after baby arrives to attend
this class with her. Statistics show that mothers
are much more likely to have a successful breastfeeding
experience when the father of the baby and other family
members are supportive. We will discuss specific
ways in which family members can support mother and baby
with breastfeeding. **Includes $50 discount towards
one in-home consultation after baby arrives.**
Special Situations
In-home
consultations may be scheduled for special situations such as preparing
to breastfeed an adopted child, back-to-work consultations, prenatal
consultations for mothers who experienced difficulty breastfeeding a
previous child, etc. Call to discuss rates.
